Eastman & Smith Welcomes New Associates

Eastman & Smith Ltd. is pleased to welcome three new associates to its Toledo office.

Joshua Didion, Colleen Maloney and Joshua Peterson previously served as summer associates with the firm in 2008.

A native of Huron, Ohio, Joshua Didion is a graduate of Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) where he majored in Decision Sciences and Marketing. Upon graduation he worked for a real estate development corporation as an operations supervisor and strategic marketing coordinator. While attending Case Western Reserve School of Law, he served as a federal judicial extern for the Honorable Richard L. Speer. Mr. Didion works in the firms Wealth Preservation Section.

Colleen Maloney graduated, cum laude, from Bates College with majors in History and English. Upon graduation, she worked as a litigation paralegal for Monaghan Leahy LLP, located in Portland, Maine. She graduated from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she worked as the Note and Comment Editor for The Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution, and served as a federal judicial extern for the Honorable Algenon L. Marbley. Ms. Maloney works in the firms Labor & Employment section where she concentrates her practice in the areas of labor and employment and workers' compensation.

Joshua Peterson, a Toledo native, received a degree in Criminology from The Ohio State University and graduated, cum laude, from the University of Toledo College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Peterson was a technical editor of The University of Toledo Law Review and served as president of the Black Law Students Association. In addition, Mr. Peterson was a student member of the American Inns of Court, a research assistant for Klein Darling Civil Practice and a recipient of the C.V. Wolfe Law Scholarship. From 2004-2006, Mr. Peterson worked in the Franklin County Auditors Office in the Real Estate Division. There, he worked in the Deed Transfer section of the Transfer & Conveyance Section documenting the transfer of properties and maintaining the Auditors parcel numbering system. Mr. Peterson works in the firms Business Section.
